There comes a time when you meet someone and you just want to make them smile for the rest of your life.
Brandon Martinez had know for a while that he wanted to make the love of his life and best friend, Kimberly, his fiancé. In December 2014 he took Kim to one their favorite places, pulled out the ring that had been on his mind the whole drive there, and proposed. Of course she said yes as she busted into tears.
I cannot wait to photograph this couple’s wedding this summer!
Here are 10 facts about Brandon and Kim:
- They met while working at target together and starting dating a year later. Kim quit working there 8 months before they started dating but they remained in contact.
- They first bonded over our love of country music and went to a 3-day country concert called watershed. They try to go to at least 1 country concert year.
- Kim actually made the first move. Brandon dropped her off at home and she hugged him and gave him a small kiss on the neck. They were both shocked by this, but they both look back and are thankful now!
- They love to karaoke, not so much together, but they both always sing if there is karaoke.
- They have a pup named Kingston and love fighting for his attention. 9 times out of 10 Kim wins!
- They both enjoy cooking. Kim always fishes for compliments in hopes that she’s better.
- Brandon is afraid of spiders, so Kim kills them for him. She also likes to show him gross spider videos or make comments from time to time to scare him.
- This past year they decided that throughout their life they would like to see every lighthouse on the west coast. They’ve only been to one so far.
- Brandon and Kim love seafood. Whenever they go out to eat they always have to order at least calamari.
- One day it’s their goal to buy land and be wedding venue owners. With all of their wedding planning they’ve been doing, thet thought it would be fun and lucrative to have a wedding venue in the future.
